Function
The compression fitting connects three pipes together in a tee: one on either horizontal end of the connection and a third connecting to the pipe vertically. The ring on the inside of the nut ends of the fitting is compressed when the nut is tightened, forming a tightly sealed joint with the connecting pipes. The remaining end of the tee is a threaded connection.
Applications
The compression fitting is used to connect to PE pipe by forming tees in commercial or residential settings for transferring liquid, air, or gas depending on need.
