Coolant Refractometer – 1.100-1.400 sg


The coolant refractometer has a measurement range for ethylene glycol and propylene glycol of -50°C – 0°C, a range for cleaning fluids of -40°C – 0°C, and a range for battery fluids of 1.100 – 1.400 sg.

Function
The coolant refractometer is used to measure and control the concentration of coolant in various kinds of fluids in refractometry. A small amount of a solution is inserted into the unit, and once the plastic cover is closed, the coolant content is revealed by looking through the lens. The unit can be calibrated as needed using the adjustment screw.

Applications
The coolant refractometer is ideal for testing coolant concentrations in a variety of industrial refractometry applications, which utilize engine and battery-operated machinery, and for ensuring that fluids are neither too rich nor too lean in order to maximize efficiency.
