completed a home reno the furnace is in the living room its noisy will thei reduce the sound is it safe in a closed furnace room
Hello Jeff, thank you for your question. Our Studio Acoustic Foam Panels are made of fire retardant material and fulfills UL Standard, Ca117 BS5852. That being said these Studio Acoustic Foam Panels would work in a furnace room as long as an open flame is not near the foam.
Do I need to cover every square inch of my home studio walls and ceiling? In a 14x8x8 room, that would require about 10 packages. The walls themselves are already soundproof - I just want to "deaden" the room.
Hello Andrew, thank you for your question. Covering every single square inch of the studio is what is highly recommended from the manufacturer. The manufacturer recommends to cover ever inch to make sure you are completely deadening the room.
I have just purchased these tiles but don't want to glue them to the wall, would using command strips work OK? Thanks
Hello Andrew, thank you for your email. We highly recommend that you use some type of adhesive to install our acoustic foam panel such as liquid nails or a construction adhesive, however, the command strips could work. Another way to install these panels is by using T pins. T pins are similar to thumbtacks but the pin is longer and the head is a T to hold the foam in place.
We have just purchased a new home and the layout places the childrens rooms above the master bedroom. Kids being kids ....even when they are quiet they are mousey. If we lined the ceiling with these pads and then installed a drop ceiling do you think that we would get favorable results?
Hello Rene, thank you for your question. Yes if you install these on the roof it will definitely help dampen the noise from below. You could install something in front of the panels to cover them but not necessary. The egg patterns on the panels are designed to bounce sound waves in different directions dampening the sound and making it very difficult for sound to penetrate the foam.
I am a loud snorer, will this stop the sound getting through the wall that separates me from the kids?
Hello Tony, thank you for your question. Our studio acoustic foam should certianly help to reduce the sound going through the wall drastically. It will not eliminate the sound entirely but it will noticeably dampen the sound. The acoustic foam panels will also reduce the echo of the snores inside the room..
What is the fire rating of the tiles
Hello Keith thank you for your question. Our acoustic foam panels is fire retardant and fulfills UL Standard CA117 BS5852 as stated in the technical details above.
How do you attach these panels to the ceiling? Glue them?
Hello Joe, thank you for your question. Yes the best way to attach our studio acoustic foam panels is with adhesive. We believe the best type of adhesive is the one you use to install wall paper.
Would your product work on a very loud air compressor if I frame it in?
Hello Eric, thank you for your question. Our product would work to reduce noise level of any kind. The studio acoustic foam is designed to absorb sound waves significantly reducing the nuisance noise and sound pressure levels.
My room is 14 feet by 12 feet . What would be the cost of this Studio foam SKU #D1166816?
Hello Lavinia, thank you for your question. We believe you should be able to cover the room with QTY 2 of our SKU# D1166816. So the total cost for the studio foam would $271 plus shipping
I have noisy people upstairs who move furniture and walk loudly. Would the this foam eliminate the sound?
Hello Lavinia, thank you for your question. This studio foam will not eliminate the sound but will certainly dampening it significantly. The foam doesn't block sound entirely but rather redirects and absorbs the sound waves.
What is the best way to fix these to the wall without damaging the paint if later you decide to remove them?
Hello April, thank you for your question. As mentioned in the question above, we highly recommend that you use some type of adhesive to install our acoustic foam panel such as liquid nails or a construction adhesive. However, if you do not want to damage the walls then command strips would certainly work.
